The quest to save the planet

We have been hearing so much about the dangers of climate change and it seems that at last there are some leaders within our societies who are now showing the moral fiber, the character and the commitment to do something rather than just talking. They are now making changes which may catch some motor vehicle users unawares. Many cities are now imposing emissions charges on the owners of cars which is known to cause a lot of pollution. One also has to consider the ever-increasing cost of fuel which is placing an increasing burden on the budget of many families. When looking at all of these facts it is clear to see why now may be an excellent time to take a closer look at all of the available electric cars. Some governments are providing additional initiatives such as special grants for those owners of electric vehicles. This can result in a sizable saving when purchasing a new electric vehicle. New models of electric cars are introduced at frequent intervals and this is providing prospective vehicle buyers with a better opportunity to obtain the kind of vehicle which will be most suitable to their individual needs.

Many manufacturers join in

One of the manufacturers which have joined in the electric vehicle party is Peugeot. Apparently, their electric vehicle was one of the favorites at the recent Geneva 2019 show. This vehicle has been fitted with a 50 kWh electric motor. However, there is also the Q4 e-Tron from Audi which is a vehicle with an extremely sophisticated design and which according to experts in the market can be expected to go into production very soon. As a reputable vehicle manufacturer Ford has made its own statement regarding electric vehicles. Apparently, it has committed itself to make an $11 billion investment into the development of electric vehicles. They also have plans on the table which is far advanced in order to ensure that they will have more than 40 electrified vehicles on the road within the next three years. 24 of these models will plug-in hybrids while the remaining 16 will be fully electric. They have even created a new team known as the Ford team Edison which is going to be looking specifically at the future of electric vehicles and one of the projects will be an electric Mustang.
